The world’s paramount sailing event, featuring in the region of 1000 yachts and 8000 competitors. With its exciting racing schedule and varied shore side activities, Skandia Cowes Week offers something for everyone. Don’t miss the spectacular fireworks display on the final evening.

The Rolex Fastnet Yacht Race (Starts Sun 12)

One of the toughest ocean races on the calendar, attracting over 250 yachts. The race commences at Cowes, goes past The Needles, then along the coast to the Irish Sea, round the Fastnet Rock and terminates in Plymouth. The race covers 608 miles and lasts up to 5 days.

Isle of Wight Garlic Festival (Sat 18 Sun 19)

Hosted at Newchurch Showground, this is one of the largest events on the Island and attracts around 25,000 visitors each year. Don’t be fooled by the name of the event, this is much more than just garlic. It is two days packed with food, drink, music, fun, attractions and much more. Don’t you dare miss it!

Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally (Fri 24 Mon 27)

Held at Smallbrook Stadium in Ryde, this is widely recognised as the biggest scooter event in the world. A funpacked weekend for the scooter enthusiast culminating with a round the Island rideout, this is an event that just has to be attended by every selfrespecting scooterist.
